In Ovo was founded in 2011 by two Dutch entrepreneurs. Since then, the company has grown to be a leader in in-ovo sex determination and contributing to positive change in poultry welfare. In Ovo has been working on their gender determination technology for over 12 years, long before the ban on chick culling was on anyone's radar or embedded in legislation. Years of research and development have led to a practical, accurate and effective solution for hatcheries to determine the gender of the egg at an early stage, so male eggs can be removed from the process. 

With In Ovo’s technology, the company is making a significant impact at an increasing number of commercial hatcheries to reduce the practice of culling day-old male chicks. And this is just the beginning of what technology can mean for optimising poultry farming and improving animal welfare.
