A Warm Afternoon at the Pluimveemuseum: DPC BBQ 2026
On 1 July 2026, Dutch Poultry Centre welcomed colleagues, partners, and friends from across the poultry sector to the Pluimveemuseum in Barneveld for our annual DPC BBQ. Against the backdrop of this historic setting, the afternoon offered a relaxed and informal opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas, and strengthen the relationships that keep our sector moving forward.
Reflecting on a Season of Progress
Before the barbecue began, we took a moment to look back on a season marked by meaningful developments within DPC. The programme touched on some of the challenges currently facing the sector, including the ongoing impact of nitrogen regulations, as well as the steady progress the organisation has made in recent months.
Several milestones stood out. DPC introduced a refreshed corporate identity and updated logo, reflecting the organisation's evolving role in the sector. International activities continue to expand, and new initiatives such as the DPC Round Table and the Business Meets Science Event have added valuable new platforms for connection and knowledge exchange within the community.
Fresh Energy on the Board
A particular highlight of the season has been the contribution of our young board members, Marcel Wijnen and Renate Wiendels. Their entrepreneurial experience, fresh perspectives, and strong professional networks are already helping shape the direction DPC is heading, bringing renewed energy to the organisation's work.
Good Food, Good Company
Once the short programme concluded, the barbecue opened and the atmosphere shifted into something more relaxed. Guests enjoyed good food, easy conversation, and the kind of informal connections that often prove just as valuable as any formal meeting.
We want to thank everyone who joined us and helped make this year's edition such a success. It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces alongside new ones, and we already look forward to welcoming you back next year.
