Colubris Cleantech and OxyMem (Dupont) sign Letter of Intent for strategic collaboration
Colubris Cleantech and OxyMem Ltd., part of Dupont Water Solutions, signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) on Wednesday 12 March during Aquatech Amsterdam. This agreement marks the start of a strategic collaboration for the application of OxyMem's innovative Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor (MABR) technology in wastewater treatment plants in the Netherlands and within the global meat processing industry.
Through this agreement, Colubris will exclusively introduce and integrate MABR technology at wastewater treatment plants in the Netherlands and plants in the meat industry worldwide. The collaboration focuses on implementing MABR technology at water boards and within industrial applications, with the aim of achieving more efficient and sustainable water treatment solutions.
MABR technology increases biological treatment capacity and effluent quality. The patented bubble-free oxygen transfer enables simultaneous nitrification and denitrification, providing nitrogen removal, energy savings, less waste sludge and a smaller ecological footprint, without the need for additional infrastructure.
“We are delighted to enter into this partnership with OxyMem,” explains Frank Tillmann, CEO of Colubris Cleantech. “This technology offers tremendous energy efficiency and performance benefits, which fits perfectly with our mission to help towards a circular world.”
Barry Heffernan, COO of OxyMem, added, “Joining forces with Colubris will allow us to implement our MABR technology on a broader scale and maximise its impact on the industry. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
