DPC Delegation Visits Al Rawdah Poultry Farm in Dubai

In the run-up to VIV MEA 2025, Dutch Poultry Centre (DPC) organized an exclusive working visit to Al Rawdah Poultry Farm on Monday, 24 November. Al Rawdah is one of the largest and most prominent poultry companies in the United Arab Emirates. DPC members and partners were given the unique opportunity to take an in-depth look at the farm and gain insights into the region’s market and technological innovations. The visit concluded with the DPC Network Dinner in Abu Dhabi.

Exploration of a Market Leader

Al Rawdah, part of the Emirates Rawabi Group, is known for producing 100% naturally fed fresh chicken and high-quality processed chicken products. The farm, located roughly 40 kilometers outside Dubai, covers more than 538 hectares and processes over 45,000 birds per day.

A Well-Organized Program

The delegation departed at 13:15 by bus from the Aloft Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Among the participants were representatives from Dutch Poultry Centre, HatchTech, Innovatec, MS Schippers, Vencomatic, VNU, WPSA, and Wageningen University & Research. Kanters and QS Vets also joined from Dubai by taxi.

Upon arrival at 15:00, the participants were welcomed with a joint presentation by DPC and Al Rawdah. The presentation highlighted the company’s market dynamics, business philosophy, and technological ambitions. This was followed by a guided tour of the facilities, focusing on production capacity, hygiene protocols, feed concepts, and climate control in a challenging hot environment. For many participants, this offered valuable insights into the rapidly growing poultry market in the Gulf region.

Networking and Arabic Flavors

At 17:00 the delegation returned to Abu Dhabi, where they joined the DPC Network Dinner at the Capital Gate Hotel at 19:00. In an informal setting, participants reflected on the visit, regional opportunities, and potential collaborations. The dinner also offered a culinary experience: participants could taste a variety of traditional Arabic dishes, adding a rich cultural dimension to the networking moment.

The working visit not only provided an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a market leader in the UAE, but also strengthened connections within DPC’s international poultry network in the lead-up to VIV MEA 2025.
