Feeding the World Together: DPC Brings Innovation to AgroWorld Qazaqstan
In October 2025, a delegation of Dutch Poultry Centre (DPC) members traveled to Almaty, Kazakhstan, to participate in AgroWorld Qazaqstan, a leading trade fair for agriculture and poultry farming. The mission was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Its main objective was to connect Dutch companies with Kazakh players in the poultry sector, fostering knowledge exchange, innovation, and collaboration.
Strong DPC Delegation
The delegation included the following DPC members: Aeres, Fancom, HatchTech Incubation Technology, HATO Agricultural Lighting, Impex Barneveld, JBT Marel Poultry, Trouw Nutrition, Valco Industries, VAV Conveyor Components & Solutions, Vencomatic Group, and QS Vets.
The mission began on the evening of Tuesday, 28 October, with a warm welcome dinner at Sandyq Restaurant, organized by DPC. The dinner provided an opportunity for Dutch participants to meet, exchange experiences, and prepare for the busy days filled with business opportunities and networking.
Opening of the Dutch Pavilion
On Wednesday, 29 October, the official program of AgroWorld Qazaqstan started at the AgriForum Conference Hall of the Atakent International Exhibition Centre. The day began with a VIP tour led by the Kazakh Minister of Agriculture, followed by the ceremonial opening of the Dutch Pavilion, organized by DPC.
In this pavilion, participating companies showcased their latest innovations in climate control, automation, incubation, feed systems, and processing technologies. Covering approximately 75 m², the pavilion was designed to emphasize collaboration and transparency within the Dutch poultry sector. The slogan “Feeding the World Together” perfectly reflected this approach. Over the three days of the fair, around 2,500 visitors explored the pavilion.


Conference: Netherlands Solutions and Innovations for Your Poultry Business
The highlight of the day was the conference “Netherlands Solutions and Innovations for Your Poultry Business”, where experts presented their innovative solutions. Roland van Dalen from Trouw Nutrition provided insights into modern feed systems, Jan Stebel from HatchTech discussed advanced incubation technologies, Tatiana Alifanova from Vencomatic Group shared cost-effective solutions for Kazakh poultry farms, and Kirill Tchizhikov from JBT Marel presented the latest developments in poultry processing. Timo Lugard from QS Vets emphasized the importance of reliable access to veterinary medicines, while Teus Korevaar from Aeres highlighted the global impact of practical skills.
The conference concluded with a discussion on the benefits of collaboration with the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan, bridging local entrepreneurs and international innovations. That evening, Dutch and Kazakh companies met for a networking event at the Best Western Atakent Hotel, where new business connections were established.


Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding
On Thursday, 30 October, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Dutch Poultry Centre and the Union of Poultry Farmers of Kazakhstan. The ceremony marked the beginning of closer cooperation focused on knowledge exchange, innovation, and sustainable growth within the sector. The day concluded with a celebratory reception at the Intercontinental Hotel.


Culture and Farewell
Friday, 31 October, was dedicated to cultural experiences and closing activities. The Dutch delegation explored Almaty with a local guide and concluded the mission with a farewell dinner at Restaurant Abay, celebrating achievements and strengthening new friendships.

Collaboration with the Dutch Embassy
The project was realized in close cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Central Asia. From the start, the embassy played an important role in establishing the Dutch pavilion, advising on the positioning and branding of the Netherlands in the region, and contributing to the organization of the conference. Their involvement ensured all activities were executed efficiently and successfully.
A Strong Foundation for Further Collaboration
The mission highlighted the importance of the poultry sector for food security and economic growth in Kazakhstan. Through collaboration between Dutch innovators and Kazakh entrepreneurs, a future of innovation, sustainability, and shared success is being built. The exchange of knowledge and technology, combined with personal connections, lays a strong foundation for further cooperation, including a planned delegation visit of Kazakh poultry companies to the Netherlands in 2026.
