First DPC Roundtable: "The Strategic Edge: Technology as a Competitive Edge"

Dutch Poultry Centre is proud to announce its first Roundtable of 2026: "The Strategic Edge – Technology as a Competitive Force", taking place on 18 March 2026 at Wageningen University & Research in Wageningen.

 Why This Roundtable Matters

The Netherlands and Europe face significant economic and technological challenges. In a world where the United States and China are advancing rapidly, strengthening our position through investment in high-tech niches is no longer optional — it is essential. The agri-food sector, and the poultry industry in particular, has a real opportunity to lead in this space.

This first DPC Roundtable brings together professionals from the poultry sector and horticulture to place their technological developments side by side. The goal is to spark cross-sector learning, honest discussion, and strategic thinking about where the industry is headed and how technology can drive that forward.

Programme

The afternoon kicks off with two expert speakers who will each present their vision on technology in their respective sectors, followed by Q&A sessions and an interactive group discussion.

• 16:10 — Technological developments in horticulture and what poultry companies can learn from them by Frederik Vossenaar, Executive Advisor at Dutch Greenhouse Delta

• 16:25 — Q&A

• 16:30 — Break

• 16:40 — Group discussion on key statements

• 16:55 — Summary by the moderator

• 16:55–17:30 — Drinks and closing
