SFR announces appointment of new director

Schothorst Feed Research (SFR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jan Kamphof as its new Director. As of 1 September, he will succeed Lieuwe Roosenschoon, who has indicated that he wants to retire after more than eight years in charge of SFR.

With Jan Kamphof (1964), SFR appoints an experienced manager with a passion for animal feed. Jan was born on a dairy farm and graduated in Zootechnics at the Agricultural University in Wageningen. During his career he gained international experience in sales, product development and business development at leading companies such as Cargill, DuPont de Neymours and ED&F Man.

From 2013 to 2018, Jan was commercial director of Agrifirm Feed, where, in addition to managing all animal sectors, he was also responsible for nutrition and innovation.  Currently, Jan Kamphof works at Hamlet Protein A/S in Denmark. There, he is responsible for the commercial and business development of high-quality protein raw materials for young animal feed.

With the appointment of Jan Kamphof, SFR continues to work on improving profitability and focusing on further international growth. “The animal feed sector is facing a major challenge to make it more sustainable in the years ahead.  SFR can make an important contribution here, with research, advice, innovation and training.
