Workshop: Supporting the Future of Rwanda’s Poultry Sector

On Wednesday 7 October 2026, Dutch Poultry Centre and the Rwanda Poultry Industry Association will host an interactive workshop during VIV Africa 2026 in Kigali: Supporting the Future of Rwanda’s Poultry Sector.

The workshop brings together Dutch and Rwandan poultry professionals for an afternoon of knowledge sharing, practical insights and dialogue. Under the theme Sharing knowledge, exploring opportunities, growing together, participants will discuss the opportunities and challenges involved in developing a sustainable, productive and profitable poultry sector.

The growing demand for poultry products creates opportunities throughout the value chain. At the same time, sustainable growth requires access to knowledge, innovation, skilled professionals, reliable data and strong collaboration between industry stakeholders. This workshop offers a platform to exchange experience and identify areas where partnerships can support future development.

Contributions will be provided by Dutch Poultry Centre, the Rwanda Poultry Industry Association, Hendrix Genetics, Royal Pas Reform and Rwandan poultry professionals. The afternoon will include presentations, interactive discussion and a panel session.
