Nice atmosphere at DPC BBQ

The traditional DPC BBQ was held in beautiful sunny weather at the Poultry Museum in Barneveld on July 10. Attendees got to enjoy delicious snacks, to discuss the work of the DPC, and the ups and downs of the poultry industry. At the same time, topics like the new government and the European Championship football match between the Netherlands and England that same evening were also on the minds of many.

Chairman Jan Wolleswinkel kicked off this enjoyable meeting with a word of welcome to everyone and, in particular, to new DPC member Van Eck industrial hygiene of Son. He apologized on behalf of program manager Irina Tutert for her absence as she had traveled to Dortmund with her family to attend the aforementioned football match. The board has a new board member in Rick van Emous and a new relationship manager following the appointment of Teus Korevaar. This means that all vacancies have now been filled.

Teus himself introduced himself by reporting that he had been able to take on the interesting task at the DPC through a secondment agreement with his employer, Aeres training center international. He surprised everyone with three short interviews/presentations with Karin van der Belt from Schothorst of Lelystad, Arjan Zwiers from Bouwimpex Projects of Zuidwolde and Annemarie Weijland-ter Woorst from In Ovo of Leiden. They gave a brief explanation of their companies and the reasons for their membership of the DPC.
