Successful DPC meeting at Aeres Group in Dronten

On June 7, 2023, the members of DPC were guests at the Aeres Group in Dronten. The Aeres Group offers HBO courses for the agricultural sector and one of the courses concerns the poultry sector.

After a reception with coffee/tea, Jan Wolleswinkel, chairman of DPC, opened the meeting and thanked the Aeres Group for their hospitality.

Willemien van der Heijden welcomed all the guests on behalf of the Aeres Group Dronten department and wished everyone a good and instructive afternoon. After that Sander Laurens gave an overview of the activities of the Aeres Group and in particular for the Poultry sector. Dronten offers an HBO education for the sector. It is very important that there are good contacts between the companies in the sector and the school.

Subsequently, various speakers gave an overview of what the Aeres Group has to offer. It is very important to know what the sector needs. In this way things can be coordinated. After the the official part, the guests split into groups to discuss in more detail the question of what importance Dronten and DPC could have for each other.

On behalf of DPC, Jan Wolleswinkel thanked the Aeres Group and the speakers for the interesting program. He once again pointed out the importance of good consultation between the DPC members and the Aeres Group, especially in connection with the present situation of the employee market.

The meeting ended in the school's restaurant. The hosts had provided an extensive meal. Which was gratefully used.
